LONDON, UK, October 03, 2008
/24-7PressRelease/ -- London residential property giant Alex Neil have been boosted by summer letting figures that have dwarfed totals from the same period last year.
Though a high number of lettings were expected as would be buyers were put off by falling house prices and the impact of the global credit crunch, many younger professionals eager to have their own space have contributed to the rise, leaving Alex Neil in no doubt that the pull of London is still as strong as ever.
"We are still pushing through house sales though this has seen a slight drop on previous years. We have been swamped with requests from professionals looking to rent though, and this has meant a very busy summer for our staff", commented Alex Neil Director David Hatch.
The trend seems to have caught on elsewhere in the UK, but London will always retain it's position as the place many people want to realise their ambitions predicts Hatch,
"The demand in London can often outweigh the availability of empty properties, which means we have to work extra hard. We are lucky in that we cover a huge area with our 8 offices, but that does bring its own pressure as we have a greater volume of the population to cater for".
