TEMS, a gas service and maintenance company based in South Croydon, felt the need to re-asses their working practices due to problems with paper-based job sheets. Engineers often selected jobs based upon the location and skills required, leaving many jobs incomplete and customers dissatisfied.
TEMS chose to implement a PDA solution from LetsComIT, enabling information to be quickly and accurately sent between their office staff and engineers. Once work is complete, an engineer inputs job information using a series of yes/no scenarios and drop down tables. Data is now standardized throughout the workforce and wholly accurate.
However, the key advantage for TEMS is the ability to create, complete and send the now vitally important CP12 forms. In simple, uncomplicated steps, CP12 forms can now be completed in their entirety on a PDA, capturing both engineer and customer signature. Once complete, logged time of completion, job details, and CP12 forms can be automatically sent back 'over-the-air' to TEMS database, where records and job scheduler are instantly updated.
Based around TEMS specific needs, LetsComIT developed a scheduling system allowing management to gain the 'big picture' of their workforce. By fully integrating with TEMS AccuServ call management system from InterNETalia Ltd., detailed job information can now be sent to an engineer as soon as the call is taken.
