/24-7PressRelease/ -- Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 03, 2008: Leviton Middle East is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Asef Baddar as Business Development Manager for the Middle East region. Mr Baddar, who is a US Engineering graduate and holds an RCDD certification, will be the Network Solutions division Technical In-charge. He will work on developing new business through structured cabling partners and getting Leviton products specified by consultants and contractors. In addition, he will also be responsible for Leviton's training and warranty programs in the region.
Speaking on the appointment, Mr. Ramzi Nassif, Managing Director - Leviton Middle East said, "We are happy to have Asef Baddar on board. He brings over 15 years of structured cabling experience and is well respected in the industry for his knowledge and problem solving capabilities. Leviton has ambitious business plans in the region and a highly trained and experienced senior executive like Asef will play a key role in driving our structured cabling business forward".
Prior to this appointment, Mr Baddar was leading the Applications Engineering Department of Leviton Voice and Data division in the United States as Applications Engineering Manager. He made a significant contribution in rebuilding the Network Solutions' Application Engineering (AE) department where he demonstrated his ability to execute departmental visions for higher skilled Application Engineers and Technical Service Representatives. He has taken initiatives to better serve customers in areas of website content, technical knowledge, and hands-on training and has strengthened the AE department's capability for excellent technical support and customer service. Earlier experience in structured cabling includes thirteen years in General Cabling Company in the US where he held the position of Senior Applications Engineer.
