The annual awards honor young adults, ages 18-40 who are making incredible impact on their communities. 10 honorees from all over the state of California will be given the crystal OYC award by the California Junior Chamber and California Jaycees Foundation in an evening filled with motivated, accomplished, and amazing individuals.
Jack recently served as the 2006 and 2007 President of the Universal City-North Hollywood Jaycees (Junior Chamber), where he was instrumental in motivating young people to get involved in the community and develop their leadership skills. Over the two years as President of the Jaycees, Jack's chapter took hundreds of needy kids back to school shopping for clothes and supplies as part of the annual "Childspree" project in conjunction with Mervyns. His chapter delivered toys and cheer to thousands of deserving children on Christmas Eve as part of the annual "Operation:Santa" project, made hygiene kits for the homeless ("Little Necessities"), raised money for Scholarships at Los Angeles Valley College to help students who are budding civic leaders, and teamed up with members of the Los Angeles Opera for 3 successful benefit Recitals.
