Donate $50 to Churches United through LifeStyles Furniture this holiday season and receive $200 off your Stressless recliner purchase from November 27th through January 18th. Churches United of the Quad Cities represents over twenty Christian faith traditions in the Quad Cities area which includes churches in both Iowa and Illinois. Founded in 1961 one of their most important community contributions has been in creating and managing a Hunger Ministry which reaches out to those less fortunate by providing food pantries and meal sites to help both individuals and families with getting food and meals who would otherwise go without. Meal sites offer meals to the public Monday through Saturday. Dinner is served 6 p.m to 6:30 p.m.
These pantries and food sites are supported by over 100 area churches and other organizations as well as hundreds of individuals who help contribute money and food to these services. Scores of volunteers also help to operate these sites that are found throughout Rock Island and Scott Counties and coordinated by Churches United of the Quad Cities.
