With 20 years of professional experience in nursing, Ms. Brackney specializes in geriatric care. In her position at Apollo Career Center, she manages one secretary and ten faculty members, and oversees the development and day-to-day operations of the Practical Nursing program to include:

• Tutoring services
• Coordinating nursing classes and scheduling clinical rotations for nursing students and faculty
• Administering pre-entrance testing
• Ensuring students meet educational standards
• Developing written policies
• Maintaining communication between healthcare institutions, faculty, and students
• Coordinating faculty meetings

Ms. Brackney credits her success to her personal drive and to the support she receives from her husband.

Ms. Brackney received her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2002. She was inducted into The Honor Society of Nursing in 2002 with Sigma Theta Tau International, The Ohio Organization for Practical Nurse Educators and the Licensed Practical Nurse Association of Ohio. She also manages an Advisory Committee between Apollo School of Practical Nursing and area healthcare representatives and intends to obtain her doctorate.
