/24-7PressRelease/ - HONOLULU, HI, May 14, 2008 - Internationally acclaimed, concert pianist, Lisa Nakamichi will host the Third Annual Aloha International Piano Festival and Piano Competition, June 8-15 at the Hawai'i Convention Center located in Honolulu, HI. This weeklong event will feature musical performances by Nakamichi and fellow world-class concert pianists, workshops for musicians of all ages, an international piano competition and will conclude with a Father's Day finale.
A Kailua-native, Nakamichi returns to Hawai'i for a third year to further promote awareness of classical music in Honolulu. Nakamichi and guests will offer local musicians, a rare opportunity to receive instruction from internationally acclaimed pianists. Participants will be flying in from as close as the Neighbor Islands and from places as far away as the Mainland, Hong Kong and Japan to compete in the Aloha International Piano Competition for a chance to join Nakamichi and guests, Martin Canin, Steven Graff, Sean Botkin and Noriko Uenaka in the Aloha Finale Piano Ensemble Extravaganza on Father's Day, Sunday June 15th at the Liliu Theatre in the Hawai'i Convention Center.
Tickets for evening recitals featuring the talents of Lisa Nakamichi, Martin Canin, Steven Graff, Sean Botkin and Noriko Uenaka are priced at $20 for adults and $5 for children and students. Discounts are available for military and senior citizens.
