Ms. Gomez excels in teaching the Spanish language to middle school students. She teaches the language through culture. Her passion and love for the language encouraged her to develop experimental programs for teaching the language in the school district.

Ms. Gomez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Havana in 1993. She volunteers with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In five years, Ms. Gomez plans to pursue her master's degree and teach at the high school or college level.
