/24-7PressRelease/ - May 12, 2006 - Cat Galaxy, the internet radio station for cats is gearing up for another large live broadcast in June to promote cat adoptions as cat rescue groups across the country get flooded with a lot of felines being brought in to shelters due to cat and kitten season. The show being called Code Red Cats will broadcast live on Cat Galaxy from 8am - 10am on Saturday, June 10th.

"Cat and kitten season has already begun and many cats are being brought or turned into shelters in record numbers. This broadcast will hopefully spread the message that these felines need good and loving homes and that spaying and neutering can help end the cycle of overpopulation," said Nohl Rosen of Cat Galaxy.

The station had one other larger broadcast Crazy About Cats back in March which promoted feline spay/neuter as well as cat rescue and TNR while Code Red Cats will focus on adoptions.

"Many cats end up in shelters due to no fault of their own. Some are turn-ins because the human failed to take responsibility for them, while others are a result of unwanted litters. No cat deserves to be tossed away whether it be on the city streets or into a shelter. They do deserve good and loving homes and that is what we hope this broadcast will promote," Rosen mentions.

Unlike, Crazy About Cats this broadcast will run 10 hours with a message that no cat will be left behind and hopefully find that loving home they have been hoping for.

"June marks Adopt-a-Cat month but we hope that as entertaining as this broadcast will be it might convince humans that this not the only time that cats need help. Many (cats) are awaiting adoption all the time and can use our support," Rosen added.

Members of the media as well as animal rescue groups across the country are being invited to participate in the broadcast and also help us get the word out about it, as well as about cats needing good homes. For those interested in participating or for media inquiries please call Nohl Rosen at 480-980-8541 or send an email catprotector@catgalaxymedia.com.
