Research carried out recently reveals that one out of ten people in UK are planning to use credit options like personal loans; both secured and unsecured, to finance their Christmas shopping. It is also estimated that 25 per cent of their spending will be covered by borrowed money.

Market expert expressed their views that this is was a big increase on last year when the equivalent figure was three in ten and meant people were spending less on credit than last year. They also added that there was a better budgeting trend and the Christmas credit situation was looking "pretty positive".
