Local Author Signed to Publish Entertaining New Children's Book

Tate Publishing is proud to announce the signing of local author Michele Kirk and her children's book Horses Don't Moo and Cows Don't Cock-a-doodle-doo.

TRENTON, NJ, October 11, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Horses Don't Moo and Cows Don't Cock-a-doodle-doo is about farm animals that are not making the correct animal sound one day. The young girl that lives on the farm, Karolyn, teaches the animals all to make their correct sounds.

"I wrote this book about 10 years ago, when my youngest daughter was about 3 years old," Kirk shares. "Imitating animals was something that she really enjoyed doing. One day, she was in a very silly mood and when we were going over the animal sounds she deliberately made the wrong animal sound. We had so much fun and that is how the idea for the book came about."

"From the catchy title, all the way through the interactive, read-along style of the book, kids and parents alike will have hours of endless enjoyment!" said Shannon Lloyd, the acquisitions editor for the book.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Michele Kirk began writing stories for pure entertainment when she was about 10 years old. She has always enjoyed working with young children. She believes that sharing reading with young children is crucial in helping them develop a lifelong love of reading.

Kirk is currently working on obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. She is married to Kevin and they currently reside in New Jersey. They have four fantastic children and are the proud grandparents of one fun-loving grandson. They enjoy spending time with friends and family. Her hobbies include writing stories, reading, going to the movies, roller-skating, and crochet.
