/24-7PressRelease/ - GURNEE, IL, June 24, 2006 - Ira L. Shapira, DDS, principal of Delany Dental Care, Ltd., Gurnee, IL, continued his commitment to provide the newest dental techniques to his patients by attending a Chicagoland seminar on new advances in CEREC 3D software. Roddy McLeod from Sirona, Germany, the person responsible for creating the software, conducted the seminar. With the CEREC 3D's CAD/CAM technology, dentists can now create natural-looking ceramic fillings, crowns and veneers in just one visit. The doctor takes a picture of the tooth using a reflective powder and transfers the image to a computer screen. The CEREC 3D machine takes over and creates the restoration while the patient watches. Finally, the dentist bonds the new restoration to the tooth surface creating a beautiful natural-looking tooth all in one visit.
Dr. Shapira and his partner, Dr. Mark J. Amidei, were among the first dentists in Lake County to apply this technology in their practice. They have been creating beautiful state-of-the-art restorations since 1988. The get started on your new smile, call Delany Dental Care at 847-623-5530.
