ST. LOUIS, MO, December 02, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brian Skrobonja, a financial advisor and owner of Skrobonja Financial Group, LLC, has recently published the second edition of his book, Common Sense, which was previously published in August 2013.
The book is an insightful read that gives readers practical tools and easy-to-understand information, which helps equip readers to make smart choices with their money.
The second edition of the book includes additional chapters and updated information in some of the existing chapters.
Skrobonja hopes that this new edition will further help readers overcome the most common financial-planning struggles.
"If people can walk away from reading this book with a new skillset, one that would enable them to make smart choices with their money and give them a new level of awareness about money, then I have accomplished something very few books on finance have successfully done," Skrobonja said.
Skrobonja was inspired to write this book three years ago after meeting with a couple who began thinking about their retirement.
"They shared with me that they had worked their entire life to accumulate the money they had and wanted to take the necessary steps to preserve it for their retirement and for their family," said Skrobonja. "I've had hundreds of similar conversations over the years in which clients asked the same questions about their money, questions that should have been answered by their financial advisors. What I've noticed is that most advisors leave their clients feeling insecure about their investment portfolio, unprepared for retirement, and disoriented about their options. This is what motivated me to write this book."
A native of St. Louis, Skrobonja entered the financial business in 1992, working closely with a team of financial and tax professionals who offered various products and services to clients. Two years later, he began a financial services business of his own. Shortly after opening the doors to his business, Skrobonja shifted away from the financial industries approach of offering products and began focusing on his core belief of helping others and serving the unique planning needs of his clients. He currently resides in St. Louis with his wife, Kari. He has three children, Tyler, Malori, and Hannah, one daughter-in-law, Taylor, and a grandchild, Waylon.
