Logan Creek Construction Breaks Ground on 500,000 Square Foot Facility to Expand Operations of Fresenius Medical Care at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

Logan Creek Construction, a national developer of industrial space, has commenced construction on a new 500,000 square foot manufacturing facility for Fresenius Medical Care, the world's largest provider of dialysis products.

GRAPEVINE, TX, April 12, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Logan Creek Construction, a national developer of industrial space, has commenced construction on a new 500,000 square foot manufacturing facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth Industrial Center. The facility is a built-to-suit project for Fresenius Medical Care, which will operate the property under a long-term lease and relocate from its existing location in Coppell, TX. As a result of the project, Fresenius Medical Care will add several new jobs with a substantial capital investment and grow its existing relationships within the Coppell and Dallas-Fort Worth community.

Ed Harmon, president of Harmon Family Development Company, expressed his excitement for the project, "We have been seeking a new location for a distribution center in this logistics corridor for over two years. Dallas-Fort Worth provides ready infrastructure and a central location to the distribution points that will be served." He anticipates completion of the new facility in late 2013 or early 2014.

Doug Maloney, Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations for Fresenius Medical Care, is extremely pleased the project is moving forward. "It is exciting to know that we will continue to be a member of the Coppell and Dallas-Fort Worth community," Maloney said. "It was important for us to find a location that not only met our business needs, but also a location that would allow us to retain our valued employees. This location meets both criteria. This is where we want to be."

The state-of-the-art facility will serve as a regional distribution center for Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), the world's largest, integrated provider of products and services for individuals with chronic kidney failure, a condition that affects more than 1,400,000 individuals worldwide. Through its network of approximately 2,085 dialysis clinics in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, Fresenius Medical Care provides dialysis treatment to over 160,000 patients around the globe. Fresenius Medical Care is also the world's largest provider of dialysis products, such as hemodialysis machines, dialyzers and related disposable products. The company's North American headquarters is located in Waltham, MA, a suburb of Boston.

Project financing was provided by Amegy Bank of Dallas. "We are thrilled to work with Mr. Harmon and DFW Airport in securing Fresenius' regional operations in North Texas," stated Lindsay Jones, Senior Vice President for Amegy Bank.
