    MABANK, TX, October 01, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Beth Fehlbaum, author of the well-received and popular fiction novel, Courage in Patience, will appear on Saturday, October 11, from 2 - 4 p.m. at Barnes and Noble, 4155 Dowlen Road, Beaumont, Texas 77706.

Courage in Patience is the story of fifteen-year-old Ashley, who is removed from her mother's home after enduring six years of abuse at the hands of her stepfather. She is placed in the tiny fictional East Texas town of Patience with her father, David, whom she has not seen since infancy. Through the summer school English class taught by her stepmother Beverly, Ashley comes to know a group of troubled teenagers, and together, they all learn to face their greatest fears and see what they are made of.

Booklist, the publication of the American Library Association, said of Courage in Patience:
"Though the subject matter is undeniably dark, Fehlbaum manages to keep the tone surprisingly light and hopeful.
