Hunter, a Golden Retriever, darted off on a recent spring afternoon after being startled by construction noises. The Rutherford family immediately began searching their neighborhood, but Hunter was nowhere in sight. The following morning, Steve Rutherford discovered Fido Finder while searching online for lost dog websites. Hunter traveled more than six miles from the time he left his family's backyard to the time he was picked up by the caring family.
