Going to the dentist can be a frightening experience for children -
White coats, scary tools, new smells and noises just to mention a few. It does not help that many adults pass on frightening stories to their children about bad experiences they have had in the dental chair in hopes that they will learn to just suddenly care more about their teeth, brush better and eat right.
Few good role models exist for children, and even fewer exist that tackle the world of dentistry.
Pearl White, a

created by Christian W. Hahn, DDS and Robin L. Hahn, RDH, to
teach children about cavities, cleanings, eating healthy and many other aspects of oral health that have a great impact in not just your smile but your entire health.
Understanding the effects of drinking soda, eating candy and not brushing your teeth can almost eliminate the need for uncomfortable and costly dentistry later in life. Which parent would not want to save their children from as much discomfort as possible? Pearl White teaches children, and adults, these lessons in a fun environment. It is the goal of Christian and Robin Hahn to give children a head start with their lives by eliminating cavities and empowering them with a beautiful smile.
Dr. Hahn believes the best type of dentisty is no dentistry at all, followed closely by preventative treatments such as sealants and micro fillings. Children still have the opportunity to begin life with a clean slate and no cavities - it is up to us to teach them how to achieve this goal.
Every patient that Dr. Hahn sees is educated on the etiology of their situtation not just the remedies. You need to be able to figure out why things are happening prior to fixing them otherwise it will happen again.
