LuAnn Linder-Daniel Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Nonprofit and Fundraising Services

    SHERMAN, TX, February 10, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- LuAnn Linder-Daniel, Founder and Director of Women Rock, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nonprofit and fundraising services.

The tragic loss of a close friend to breast cancer set Ms. Linder-Daniel on her path of helping women fight this terrible disease. After working for 28 years as a diagnostic imaging specialist and breast cancer advocate, she decided to start a nonprofit organization that would provide financial assistance to underinsured and underprivileged women so that they could obtain breast imaging services. In slightly more than a year's time, Ms. Linder-Daniel has learned the ropes when it comes to fundraising and planning events.

Another vital goal of Women Rock is to raise breast cancer awareness and provide support and education on breast health to cancer survivors and to people who have recently been diagnosed.

Ms. Linder-Daniel particularly enjoys taking the Women Rock pink fire truck on the road, which enables her to meet amazing people, hear stories of victory and defeat, make friends, and witness time and time again women's true inner strength. She is involved in all aspects of running the organization and oversees all operations, schedules speakers for the "Breast Friends" support group, and coordinates various fundraising events. She attributes her success to her passion and empathy.
Ms. Linder-Daniel earned an Associate of Science in 1983 and is certified in radiography, mammography and computed tomography. She sits on the advisory committee of the Radiologic Technology Program at Grayson County College and holds memberships to AHRA, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Women of Visionary Influence, Texas Business and Professional Women's Foundation, and the Fraternal Order of Elks #238.

Ms. Linder-Daniel received the 2010 Advocacy Mentor of the Year Award from Women of Visionary Influence (an international women's organization). Also in 2011, she received the Red River Regional Hospital Director of the Year Award for 2010 and was a Twelve Who Care nominee. She previously was recognized as Clinical Employee of the Year and was an AHRA Osborn Scholarship recipient. In the years to come, Ms. Linder-Daniel looks forward to standing amongst the largest group of breast cancer survivors that her community has ever seen.
