Lydia Waring Meyer Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Counseling and Spiritual Services

Understanding the importance of a strong educational foundation, Lydia Waring Meyer obtained a Masters of Social Work at Grand Valley State University and a Masters of Divinity at Western Theological Seminary. While completing her degrees, Ms. Meyer embarked on a career of service and ministry.

Currently as minister, director, and counselor for La Loba, Lydia W. Meyer provides individual counseling and spiritual direction for adults and couples and she facilitates spiritual, therapeutic small groups and workshops. Passionate and knowledgable about women's issues, she leads retreats for women which focus on empowerment, speaking your truth, standing up for justice, and issues surrounding sexual abuse. Through her writing and public speaking engagements, Ms. Meyer has been able to provide spiritual direction and guidance to a wide range of people in the past several years.

In April 2011, Ms. Meyer published her first novel, "Lillie's Redemption." The book, which is available for purchase on www.barnesandnoble.com and www.amazon.com, tells the story of a father who reads his deceased wife's diary and discovers a painful secret. He shares this information with his grown children and they engage in a process of seeking justice, which offers healing but threatens to destroy the church and community they love. In the coming years, Ms. Meyer aspires to conduct a book tour throughout the United States and see her novel made into a movie.

Ms. Meyer is a trained leader with the Adventure Cycling Association. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, knitting, canoeing, bicycling, and creating art.
