O'Mara, Health Planning Program Manager for the Nevada State Health Division, Bureau of Health Planning and Statistics, has been honored by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of Strategic Healthcare Marketing and Communications.

Ms. O'Mara has more than 26 years of combined professional experience in health care and high technology electronics. She specializes in program management; strategic marketing, planning and relationships; regulatory policy and compliance; and quality assurance. Additionally, she manages Nevada's J-1 Visa Waiver program, which oversees foreign-born physicians who serve in medically underserved areas. She serves as an advisory member to the Nevada Hospital Association Patient Safety Committee and the Nevada Managed Care Quality Improvement Council, and as an ex-officio member of the Nevada State Health Division Primary Care Advisory Council. Ms. O'Mara became involved in her profession due to her interest in the challenges of corporate marketing and strategic communications. She attributes her success to thinking strategically, being goal-oriented and having top-notch interpersonal skills. The highlight of her career, so far, was receiving applause from shareholders during an annual meeting in recognition of her investor communication efforts.

Ms. O'Mara received her Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA) and her Bachelor of Arts from Rosary College (River Forest, IL). She aspires to become vice president of corporate marketing for a small to medium size business in the future.
