Maj. Randall Davis, U.S. Army (Ret.) Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Military Service

Maj. Randall Davis, U.S. Army (Ret.) attended flight school where he was a top student and graduated with honors



    BLOWING ROCK, NC, July 25, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maj. Randall Davis, U.S. Army (Ret.) for the U.S. Army, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.

Mr. Davis recently celebrated 25 years of military experience, rounding out an illustrious career. An impressive skill set encompasses expertise in piloting, freight services, unclassified general contracting, and electrical licensing.

Mr. Davis was inspired to join the Army after seeing a movie about U.S. Military history; he began serving in the Army in 1980 in medical services. He was sent to flight school where he was a top student and graduated with honors. He was trained to fly Black Hawks and became a UH-60 Black Hawk maintenance test pilot as a new first lieutenant in 1982. After 9/11, he resumed his career in the Army as a captain, and became a major while in Iraq serving as a civil affairs officer. He worked in Iraq as a project manager for a nongovernmental organization, where he assisted farmers with irrigation. He was serving as a project engineer for the corps of engineers in 2007 and sustained injuries causing him to be hospitalized for one year. He then retired in 2008.

Mr. Davis attributes his success to having a positive attitude and a "stick with it" philosophy of life. He became involved in his profession while serving in the reserves. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, and a Master's Degree in Technology and Construction, both from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He also obtained his Commercial Helicopter Licence, and has remained abreast of trends and developments in military services as a member of the Military Officers Association of America. Mr. Davis was granted with the Purple Heart Award and the National Defense Service Medal for honorary service. In the near future, Mr. Davis hopes to obtain a degree and position in international business. He wants to build an experimental aircraft and intends to continue to work on his Corvette.
