DALLAS, TX, October 08, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The long awaited news on dates and location for nanotxUSA 2010 are finally clear, the event is being rescheduled for the following year. Exhibitors and other partners wishing to participate in a 2010 event are being asked to be part of the important Green Technologies Conference being produced by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

"The Directors of nanotxUSA feel that IEEE, a sponsor of our expos in the past, are producing the most viable event in nanotechnology next year and we want to support, not divert attention," said General Manager Richard Mason. "Nanotechnology and renewable energy are integral, our events have had an energy section each year, but finally now Green has taken the forefront and IEEE the leadership role. We want to do everything we can to support them.

"This is the only important international nanotechnology conference/expo being held in Texas during 2010," said Mason, "and it's located in one of the most spectacular venues in the state, the Gaylord Texan Resort Convention Center on Lake Grapevine. NSTI produced their fine TechConnect in Houston earlier this year, but in 2010 they are back in California. And other conferences of a technical nature in Texas for 2010 are nice, but little affairs often having more to do with funding start-ups than solving real challenges. Our Directors feel this IEEE event is being designed right."

The IEEE Green Technologies Conference will be held at the opulent Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, April 15 - 16, 2010, http://www.ieeegreentech.org/

"There has never been a better time for the IEEE together with the university research community, Architectural, Engineering, and other technical professionals to weigh in on environmentally friendly alternatives and improvements to our traditional energy economy" said Ed Safford, Technical Program Chairman of the event. "Wind farms are springing up almost overnight requiring additional grid infrastructure. Emerging photovoltaic technologies are rapidly approaching cost competitiveness. Sustainable Design in new construction is providing effective alternatives for energy efficiency and Green Building certifications are becoming business discriminators. The IEEE Green Technologies Conference will provide a forum for engineers, professors, architects, technicians, and practitioners to consider all aspects of Green Technologies and their application."

The conference organizing committee is requesting technical papers, workshops, panels, and tutorial submissions for this opportunity to share ideas, plans, and significant results. Contributed papers are welcome in the following and related topics:

• Alternative energy sources for home, business, community
• Energy and resource usage, conservation, and efficiency
• Innovative Architecture and other Sustainable Designs
• Alternative energy choices and effects in product development
• Green requirements, specifications, and emerging standards
• Environmental, economic, and political impacts of "Going Green"
• Indoor and outdoor environmental use, impacts, and quality

The IEEE Green Technologies Conference 2010 event deadlines are:
• Paper Submission: November 2, 2009
• Acceptance Notification: December 15, 2009
• Camera-Ready Papers: January 4, 2010
• Tutorial Submission: January 4, 2010
• Workshop Proposals: January 4, 2010
• Panel Proposals: January 4, 2010

Submissions should be sent to:
Edward L. Safford
Technical Program Chair
