/24-7PressRelease/ - KUALA LUMPUR, December 16, 2005 - The Internal Audit and Inspection Department (IAID) of the Government of Malta has selected software developed in Malaysia to help it with its increasingly complex audit responsibilities, following the entry of Malta into the EU.
The IAID which is part of the Prime Minister's Office, selected the Malaysian software, called Audit Solutions Generator TM, after a full international tender process and extensive assessment. The software was developed by Kuala Lumpur based Columbus Circle Technologies Sdn Bhd, who are part of the Multimedia Super Corridor. It will be supported in Malta by Information Technology Services who are business partners of Columbus Circle in Europe.
Commenting on winning the contract, Columbus Circle Managing Director, Navin Pasricha said, "the IAID was looking for software that is state of the art, extremely flexible and can also handle the most complex multi - site internal audits. Their needs are actually extensive because they are the internal auditors of all government departments and agencies in Malta. They also perform audits of projects that have EU funding. The software provides them with risk assessors and controls assessors that meet the most stringent standards and efficiency tools to make the most of available resources. The web based application allows them to have multiple-site audits going on at the same time with real time access to files and documentation."
According to Pasricha, the market response to the new version of Audit Solutions Generator has been very encouraging and there a number of back-to-back implementations for quarter one next year.
