Manon Gauthier Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Business Development & Fundraising

Manon Gauthier's cultural leadership inspires a new narrative for advancing the arts through business and philanthropy



    MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, July 10, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Manon Gauthier, the Chief Executive Officer of the Segal Centre for Performing Arts, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in managing the administrative and fundraising duties for Canada's second largest performing arts awards institution.

Ms. Gauthier's career spans 20 years of experience and success in communications and public affairs within the fields of arts and culture, education, health care, and government and community affairs. In her current position as the CEO of Segal Centre for Performing Arts, Ms. Gauthier specializes in leading the development of fundraising and handling the growth and sustainability of the organization. She focuses on reinforcing and developing partnerships between the arts, business and philanthropy, showcasing the role of the arts as an important economic driver and a vehicle for promoting heritage, identity and continuity in society.

An empowered leader, Ms. Gauthier also manages the institution's 50 full-time employees and over 150 part-time workers, along with 250 artists. She maintains a close relationship between the multilingual performance venue and the city's diverse cultural communities, working closely with the center's nonprofit, public and corporate partners to increase its annual revenue. She believes her success stems from her attention to cultural and artistic diversity and her experience in both the arts and the business worlds, as well as her involvement in philanthropy.

Ms. Gauthier holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University. She is a member of the National Committee for the Governor General Performing Arts Award Foundation and a Member of the Board of Directors for Culture Montreal, La Vitrine and the Quebec Centre for Addictions. Ms. Gauthier has been honored with numerous awards, such as being named one of the most influential leaders in the Quebec entertainment industry by Premieres en affaires magazine in 2012 and one of Canada's 100 most powerful women in 2010 by the Women's Executive Network.
