Dr. Kashfi has been a certified petroleum geologist and consultant geologist for Associated Resource for the past 34 years. Headquartered in Tulsa, OK, they are a full-service oil and gas back-office outsourcing company that provides professional accounting, division order, and land administration services to clients currently active within every producing basin of the continental United States. He has also been known for his contributions as a petroleum geologist and consultant with Kashex International, a petroleum consulting business located in Richardson. In the industry since 1980, Dr. Kashfi formerly served as the chief petroleum geologist at The Navajo Nation, exploration manager at Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, and senior geologist at National Iran Oil Company in Tehran, Iran.
The author of several books, including "Evolution of Oil Industry in Iran and the Middle East" in 1978, and "Geology and Hydrocarbon Prospects of Jamaica" in 1983, who also contributed more than 100 articles to professional peer reviewed journals in the area of petroleum geology, Dr. Kashfi taught as an associate professor and was chairman of the geology department at Pahlavi University in Iran for several years in the late 1970s and a teaching assistant at the University of Tennessee while pursuing his doctorate degree in the late 1960s. He is a longtime member of the Geological Society of America and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
Born in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Kashfi served in the Iranian military where he was later recognized for his contributions with a Gold Cup from the late Shah of Iran in 1963. Exploring the oil industry due to his desire to make a difference in his country, which is rich in oil and gas, he entered college and completed his undergraduate degree at Tehran University in 1962. He then traveled to the United States to complete a master's degree at Michigan State University in 1967, and Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee in 1971. Notably, Dr. Kashfi has been highlighted in several editions of Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who in the World.
