With 30 years of professional experience, Marc Smith is a respected authority on global logistics and trade compliance of imports and exports. He brings to LCS the skills that he acquired in numerous operations and sales operations disciplines, including supply chain management, production control, logistics, fulfillment, distribution, and all areas of trade compliance. As a managing partner, Mr. Smith is in charge of the sales, research and development, contract negotiation, and legal aspects of the company. He manages global logistics and import compliance efforts and assists in export and ITAR compliance, freight invoice auditing, hazmat, vehicle regulatory issues, and most other services. He is also responsible for maintaining client relations and working with suppliers.

He also lent his talents to Actel Corporation as senior manager of materials, logistics and compliance, to IX Micro as materials and logistics manager, and to S3, Inc. as senior manager of distribution and logistics. Mr. Smith holds degrees in international business and operations management, as well as certificates in demand driven supply chain, logistics, traffic management, inventory control and purchasing. He is a member of the Council of Logistics Management, the Professional Association of Exporters and Importers, the Association of Trade Compliance Professionals and the International Compliance Professionals Association.
