Colorado Super Lawyers are considered leading attorneys in the area of law in which they practice, and are selected annually by a survey of the state's top lawyers by Law & Politics Magazine.
Mr. Chayet the Managing Partner and founding member of Chayet and Danzo, LLC, was named the 2009 Colorado Rising Star Super Lawyer in Elder Law as well as having an article written about him in the 2009 Colorado Super Lawyers publication entitled "Single-Minded Passions". The article chronicles Mr. Chayet's path to establishing his own successful elder law and probate litigation law firm.
The publishers of Law & Politics and Super Lawyers launched The Rising Stars division of Super Lawyers to recognize the top up-and-coming attorneys -- those who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and sophisticated consumers in the search for legal counsel.
In December 2006, Key Professional Media, Inc. hired Global Strategy Group (GSG), one of the nation's leading market research and consulting firms, to provide an independent assessment of the Super Lawyers selection process. The GSG report concluded that the process is scientific and objective. It stated:
"The broad range of sources used to obtain a large and representative nominee pool, the comprehensive data search on each candidate, the protocols used to evaluate nominees, the expert panel system, and the meticulous checks and balances built into the process leave little to chance or idiosyncratic influence."
