A 31-year veteran of the legal profession, Ms. Leiberan has handled hundreds of appeals in virtually every area of law except criminal law. She brought her vaunted writing and research skills to the law firm of Jensen & Leiberan in 2007. With a particular focus on family law, business dispute and civil appeals, she presents cases to the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. Her multifarious caseload includes real estate, breach of contract and landlord/tenant disputes, car accidents, medical and legal malpractice, intra-family and neighborhood disputes, custody, spousal support and alimony, property division, and the dissolution of same-sex civil unions.
As an appellate lawyer, Ms. Leiberan operates based on the conviction that everyone has the right to have the Court of Appeals review its decisions. She represents clients who wish to challenge or defend a decision, always placing emphasis on providing a cogent written and legal argument that ensures that the appellate courts understand all the facts of a case. Ms. Leiberan brings to her work extensive experience as a staff attorney for the Oregon Court of Appeals. Named as an attorney in no less than 146 published opinions, she attributes her success to working hard and being good at what she does.
Ms. Leiberan is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is one of only two Oregon appellate attorneys listed in the 2009 Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. She received her JD in 1976 from Harvard Law School and her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oregon. Her professional affiliations include the Oregon State Bar, the Washington Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She gives generously to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
