Marianne Krystmas Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Music Education

Several of her recent graduates have moved on to attend Interlochen Music Academy and Juilliard.



    /24-7PressRelease/ - San Diego, CA, August 28, 2008, Marianne Krystmas, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Krystmas School of Musical Arts, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in music education.

Ms. Krystmas has been teaching music for the last 45 years, finally establishing her own school in 2002. She specializes in teaching piano, theatrical and Broadway-style singing, music theory, music history and ear training. As president and owner, she emphasizes the importance of developing a broad musical background for her pupils and believes that all students, regardless of age, have the ability to make music as long as the desire is there. She has seen her efforts bear fruit in success for her students; several of her recent graduates have moved on to attend Interlochen Music Academy and Juilliard. Ms. Krystmas attributes her success to her passion for music.

A product of Michigan State University, Ms. Krystmas holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts. She studied composition under Samuel Adler, the chairman of the Composition Department of the Eastman School of Music, and underwent additional training in several other institutions: the Detroit Institute of Arts, Wayne State University, the University of Innsbruck, and the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz, Austria. Ms. Krystmas also studied at the Moscow Conservatory in Moscow, Russia and the Roayl School of Music in London.

Ms. Krystmas served her community as Miss East Detriot and Miss Michigan. She also served as President of North County Referals for three years and is currently serving on the board of the same networking group. She has two grown up children and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys walking and hiking and she entertains at special events and private parties.
