    REDONDO BEACH, CA, December 30, 2008 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Marie M. La Fargue, President of The La Fargue Group, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of healthcare consulting.

With 24 years of professional experience, Ms. La Fargue specializes in service line management, strategic planning and clinical design and improvement. As president of The La Fargue Group, her own consulting firm, she is responsible for consulting on healthcare management and business development. Featured in industry journals as a leader in service line management, Ms. La Fargue previously served as the Director of Cancer Services at the University of California, Los Angeles, and served in progressive leadership positions within the St. Joseph Health System and MemorialCare Health System. She was named to the inaugural edition of Who's Who in Black Los Angeles and was honored with the Outstanding Young Women of America Award. She attributes her success to her upbringing, faith, education, and passion for serving others.

Ms. La Fargue received her Master of Public Health in Health Services Management in 1986 and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1984, both from UCLA. Proud to be a three-time breast cancer survivor, she counts Susan G. Komen for the Cure among her favorite charities. Her goals for the future include consulting with large companies and government agencies on healthcare; changing healthcare policies on both the national and international level; and growing as a motivational speaker and author.
