Marjorie Bardeen Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Educational Administration

Ms. Bardeen has worked for more than three decades with one goal in mind: to better STEM education in Illinois and beyond and be a leader to inspire the next generation of educators



Ms. Bardeen is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of the American Physical Society.

    BATAVIA, IL, June 30, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marjorie Bardeen has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Over the course of her career, Ms. Bardeen has worked as a program director, deputy head and principal investigator -- positions she's held with one goal in mind: to better STEM education in Illinois and beyond and be a leader to inspire the next generation of educators. Recognized as an outstanding leader by the Illinois State Board of Education, she has contributed to numerous papers and presentations over the last 30 years. She is an expert in educational administration, as demonstrated by her notable work on the board of education for Glenbard Township HS (1985), the board of trustees for the College of DuPage (1993) and the International Particle Physics Outreach Group (2013). Ms. Bardeen served as education office manager of Fermilab for 20 years (2015). Currently, she serves as the QuarkNet Collaboration spokesperson and co-principal investigator for the National Science Foundation grant.

To stay at the top of her field, Ms. Bardeen is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of the American Physical Society. Fueled by a passion for education, she admits that her own academic achievements have allowed her to reach career success. Ms. Bardeen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota, which she earned in 1963. Looking ahead, she has no intention of slowing down her work in education. In fact, she plans to build out new educational programs in the coming years.
