The growth in our software engineering department not only allows us to greatly expand our research and development but also handle the growing number of custom requests more efficiently.

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ, June 10, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mark Systems, the residential construction industry's leading provider of single-database ERP home builder software, is pleased to announce three new members to the software engineering department: Cory Finch, Louis Szgalsky, and Michael Vivona.

These new positions continue the company's expansion in 2014 and will enhance overall product and service features. Mark Systems hired 9 new employees in the last year, expanding the Engineering, Quality Assurance, Consulting and Marketing Departments.

"The growth in our software engineering department not only allows us to greatly expand our research and development but also handle the growing number of custom requests more efficiently. In addition, we are able to work on some very complex infrastructure projects, like the automated update manger and moving to a new version control platform," said Scott Duman, Vice President, Mark Systems.

The new Mark Systems Software Engineers are all graduates of Rowan University and have past experiences with software development.

Corey Finch wanted to work on a software project to make peoples' jobs easier. He found that in IHMS saying, "It is clear that Mark Systems has developed the best home builder software in the industry, and I am excited to be a part of its' future development." He and his wife, Carissa will celebrate their first wedding anniversary this August.

Finch's graduate project is one he is most proud of thus far; "We created an online store akin to Amazon, where users could search for items, add items to a cart, order items, track their order items, and rate items. A front-end website was not required; however, I wasn't going to settle without one. I created a PHP front-end, but still wasn't satisfied because when you sent a request via PHP the entire page had to reload. After incorporating AJAX into my website, only a small part of the page had to reload." Finch enjoys gaming and programming for fun in his free time.

Louis Szgalsky, a 4th degree Master Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, takes focus and determination to the next level.

"My proudest development project is the prototype I helped create for a multicursor environment, built on top of the X window system. The project was a component for a mission control room for the Navy as part of a research grant from Mission Solutions Engineering. We actually had a functional prototype in October when the grant ended," said Szgalsky. He is also an avid fisherman, at one time reeling in a 17 inch Weakfish in Delaware Bay. Szgalsky will complete his Masters Degree in Computer Science early July, 2014.

Michael Vivona is branching off on his own for the first time, and is excelling. His strongest technical expertise is in various programming languages including Java, C#, and PHP.

"I was involved in a three-month development project in which I created a web application that served as an account management system for high school students who wished to become more financially literate. During the allotted time, I was able to complete the majority of the application while using a web framework that I was not familiar with before starting the project," says Vivona. In his free time he enjoys reading and watching fiction, cooking, and researching the newest technology and gadgets.
