After eight years in the tourism and hospitality industry and four years of working for a travel agency, Ms. Blalock decided to strike out on her own. Now the head of Vacation Experts, she parlays her expertise in cruises, resorts and tours to oversee business development, marketing, strategic planning and customer relations. Ms. Blalock is always on the lookout for new offerings and travels regularly to scout new destinations and properties. She attributes the success that she has enjoyed as an entrepreneur to her hard work, focus, dedication and customer service skills.
