/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Marsha M. Nix, Seventh Grade ELA Teacher at St. George Middle School of Dorchester School District Four, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership, and excellence in all aspects of middle school education.
Ms. Nix has seven years of experience in education. As a seventh grade ELA teacher at St. George Middle School, she utilizes her ability to build relationships with colleagues and students, to teach, as well as to collaboratively develop lesson plans for seventh grade English Language Arts. In addition to her work for SGMS, Ms. Nix actively participates in the district's teacher forum. A recipient of the 2008 Teacher of the Year Award, a Character Teacher of the Month citation (October 2008), and the 2003 Rookie Teacher of the Year Award. She attributes her success to the work ethic instilled in her by her mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin.
Ms. Nix received her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Literacy, Reading, and Writing from Lesley University in 2007 and her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from South Carolina State University in 2002. Her professional affiliations include Pi Lambda Theta and Zeta Phi Beta.
