Marta De La Torre Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Health Care Adminstration

Ms. De La Torre became involved in her profession because she always had a passion for health care. She maintained a strong belief that the United States health care system needs improving. She believes that she can streamline the process. Now with 25 years of experience in healthcare administration, she shows no sign of slowing down. She expertly manages policies, procedures and processes. She oversees finance and administration, ensuring effective decision making for policies and revenue cycles that affect employees, including physicians. In addition, she works with medical practices and senior leadership, to set prices and determine information gathering techniques. Ms. De La Torre serves as a mentor to young women interested in pursuing a career in health care. She previously served as an instructor at a community college. In addition, she instituted an intern program at one of her facilities. Never one to shy away from the opportunity to help others, she volunteered for several years at professional associations. She attributes her success to her personal commitment, passion, focus and inner drive to be the best in her chosen field. She has an innate desire to pass her knowledge on to future leaders.

Ms. De La Torre received an MBA in 2001 from University of Phoenix and post graduate certification in healthcare corporate compliance, which she earned in 2008 from George Washington University. She is a fellow of the America College of Healthcare Executives. She is a member of the American Health Information Management Association and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She was the recipient of the Medical Group Management Association Author Award from the Northern California Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She was also bestowed with the Distinguished Member Award from CHIA.
