Macular Retinal Vitreal Associates is a medical practice that provides healthcare services including medical and surgical management of macular retinal and vitreal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments and other conditions that affect the rear portion of the eye. Dr. Recasens is passionate about her work, and has always been fascinated with healthcare professions; in pursuing a career in healthcare, she found that ophthalmology was the area in which she truly excelled. Dr. Recasens was a fellow in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans from 1997 to 1999. She completed her residency at Wayne State University in 1997 and earned her MD at the Universidad del Salvador in 1991. An expert in eye surgery, Dr. Recasens is available to speak to the media.
