Martha Lawter Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Elementary Education

Martha Lawter succeeds in imparting essential developmental skills on second-grade students



    Wichita KS November 7, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ --- An advocate for education, Martha Lawter is a second grade teacher at Jackson Elementary, a department of the Wichita Public Schools. Inspired by her grandparent's love and dedication to teaching, from an early age she too entered the profession with zest and has committed more than 30 years of expert care.

A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills, Ms. Lawter is able to establish and develop a rapport with her children as well as articulate well all subjects taught to second-grade students. Committed to assisting her students to achieve their goals, she evaluates student's learning ability, prepares lesson plans that will engage her students and participate in parent-teacher conferences. Prior to settling at Jackson Elementary School, Ms. Lawter also experienced teaching fifth- and sixth-grade students in Kansas, including a 10-year term at Wilson Elementary School.

For her diligence, she is the recipient of the Cross and Flame Award from the United Methodist Church and is affiliated with the United Teachers Association. Outside of her work scope, Ms. Lawter actively supports the Local Boy Scouts of America where she serves as an advancement chairperson. She also ardently supports her local church.

Passionate about teaching, Ms. Lawter intends to continue to assist others by doing consulting work or teaching at the university level.
