As a partner at Keller and Heckman LLP, Ms. Marrapese is responsible for practicing environmental law, obtaining government approvals for numerous clients from the chemical, plastic and ethanol industries in the research and development sector, and implementing strategies to assist with the development and commercialization of their products. Previously, she was a new technology specialist working on emerging technologies including hazardous waste cleanup. She then worked for the Environmental Protection Agency and developed additional experience on hazardous waste treatment. In addition to her career at Keller and Heckman, Ms. Marrapese serves as a committee chair to the U.S. Delegation on Nanotechnology Standards and promotes alternative fuel development using biotechnology. She attributes her success to being an effective communicator and having an excellent track record.

Ms. Marrapese received her JD from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in 1992 and her Bachelor of Science in Research Economics from the University of Vermont in 1984. She is affiliated with the Supreme Court of the United States and is the recipient of an award from Martindale-Hubbell. She intends to continue growing her practice and become more involved in policy in DC, especially in nanotechnology, and aspires become a political appointee.
