Mary Anne Arcand Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Project Design

Mary Anne Arcand was named Member of the Year by the Interior Logging Association



    PRINCE GEORGE, BC, CANADA, February 7, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Anne Arcand, Chair of the Board of the Carbon Offset Aggregation Cooperative of British Columbia and CEO of the Central Interior Logging Association, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in project design.

Ms. Arcand's roots are in the logging industry, which prompted her to begin a career representing those in the same field. Spending the past two years with the Central Interior Logging Association, she has handled project development and public relations, lobbied the government, advocated for association members, spent time writing articles, and managed all media work.

Throughout her eight years in the industry, Ms. Arcand has been given several awards. In 2006, she was named Member of the Year by the Interior Logging Association, and two years later was named Woman of the Year for Influence and Impact for Northern British Columbia. She has also been given a Golden Apple Award by the Public Health Employers Association of BC, and has been named Health and Wellness Advocate of the Year for Northern British Columbia. Recently she won the Northern BC Business and Technology Newsmaker of the Year Award, along with Technology Provider of the Year for Northern BC. In the coming years, she hopes to help reduce fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions world-wide.

Ms. Arcand is a Board member of Rotary International, BC Trucking Association, the BC Forest Safety Council, and the Prince George Railway & Forestry Museum.
