A graduate of Montgomery College, the University of Maryland, and George Washington University, Mary Heiss holds an Associate of Arts, a Bachelor of Arts, and a Master of Fine Arts. In order to remain active among her professional circles, she affiliates herself with the L.A. Printmaking Society, through which she won the Purchase Award in 1990. In addition to this honor, she has been awarded for her professional accomplishments on numerous occasions, including winning the First Place Award at the Riverwalk Art Festival. Furthermore, Mary Heiss has been featured in many volumes of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
