With more than nine years of professional experience, Ms. Velez's expertise lies in working with disabled children. She is primarily responsible for working with children who have speech impairments. For her efforts and dedication, she was presented with the Mother of the Year Award from the Italian Heritage Club and an Appreciation Award from the Blessed Sacrament Church for her volunteer service. Her desire to work with disabled children prompted her to get involved in her profession and she attributes her success to the support she receives from her students and teachers.
Ms. Velez became a certified child development associate in 1996 and is a member of the Italian Heritage Club. She aspires to advance in her career by attending seminars and obtaining a degree in special education.
