Mateo Blanco: From Singing to Paint Brushes

Incredible Artist Sweetens Avatar, Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man

ORLANDO, FL, November 10, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Colombian - American singer, Mateo Blanco, has gone from singing on stage across America to the Ripley's Believe It or Not museums.

Mateo Blanco who has been a pioneer in the music industry, became the first Colombian-American tenor to record a multi-genre record that put him on the list of the 100 musicians that would change the path of music. In the upcoming months he will surprise many when his art work made entirely out of sugar will be shown.

Avatar, Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man are some of the well-known figures that Mateo has hand-painted out of 100% natural sugar. His inspiration for using this atypical material to paint came from an impactful experience with weight-gain at an early age.

As a child Mateo ate candies and sweets in excess, and for medical reasons, was told that sugar was a "prohibited indulgence". Depriving himself from eating sugar developed a strong desire in him to overcome this "negative" experience by channeling his love towards sugar and turning it into a piece of art.

Mateo's 4 art pieces will be displayed at Ripley's Believe It or Not museum in Orlando, FL. Everyone is invited to see how this master mind of a singer proved you can turn something bad into something good.
