"The Committee is ecstatic to announce that the final Voyageur Days - Saturday Rock Where the Rivers Meet line-up is now completed with MATTHEW GOOD BAND (12noon) and THEORY OF A DEADMAN (9:30pm) along with previously announced SASS JORDAN (2pm) STARSHIP FEATURING MICKEY THOMAS (4pm) and SURVIVOR (7:30pm). Cowboy Junkies and Randy Bachman will be playing Sunday night already brings on another stellar line up to the Voyageur Days Festival" says Jacques Begin Co-Chair of Mattawa Voyageur Days.

Mattawa Voyageur Days will be celebrating its 17th Anniversary July 24-27, 2014. Attendance has increased 274% since our 1998 inaugural year. Total attendance in 2013 was estimated at 32,600 - 15.4 times the 2,114 population of Mattawa! Weekend wristbands allowing access to the music venue have sold out for 6 consecutive years with full expectations of this trend continuing in 2014. Mattawa Voyageur Days is a true total community festival and is open to all community clubs and organizations that host their activities and events during the festival and thus financially benefit from the Festival. Children and youth activities include "Fun in the Sun"-full day of beach activities, a fishing derby (children and youth ages 6months - 13), COPA for Kids (airplane rides), music performance opportunities, Kid's Fun Zone, just to name a few. Events and activities for all ages include helicopter rides, golf tournament, Mattawa River canoe race (North Bay to Mattawa 62Kms), Show and Shine Car show, Monster Bingo, "Quest for the Voyageur Title" Tai Boxing Event, Otto Holden Dam Tours, Guided Hikes, community meals - again - just to name a few. Thursday Night free concerts include local/regional talent.
The Friday, Saturday and Sunday Concert Line-ups ONLY include original professional recording artists (over 100 artists in the past 16 years). Friday Night New Country included the likes of Dean Brody, Doc Walker, Terry Clark, Aaron Pritchett, The Wilkinsons, Road Hammers etc. Saturday "12 to 12 Rock Where the Rivers Meet" have featured Classic Rock Bands such as George Thorogood, Cheap Trick, Peter Frampton, Platinum Blonde, Trooper, Northern Pikes, Jerry Doucette, April Wine, Loverboy and so many more. Sunday night Wrap-Up also included Colin James, David Wilcox, Eddie Money, Tom Cochrane, Dennis DeYoung, The Romantics and again many more. The Festival closes with a spectacular choreographed fireworks display.
Mattawa Voyageur Days is a non profit organization creating community exposure and significant social and economic impact. Sponsorships requests have a 96% positive response generating over $70,000 in revenue to help offset the costs of such an amazing festival. Mattawa Voyageur Days completed both a postal code and an economic impact study in 2013 revealing the following estimated results; estimated total spending for the weekend was $1,745,000 with a total Estimated Impact of $2,443,000. Postal Codes prove that the festival attracts visitors from all over Ontario, Quebec, northern US and other parts of Canada.
