-- Maureen D. Pastine, the Owner and Consultant for Pastime with Pastine, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fundraising consultancy.
With 50 years of experience in the industry, Ms. Pastine has been honored on several occasions for her commitment to science research, marked by attainment of Emporia State University's Achievement Award, the Service Award from EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit organization focused on advancing higher education by endorsing the use of information technology, and the Alumni Achievement Award from Fort Hays State University. Moreover, Ms. Pastine has been invited to several exclusive International Science Association forums to celebrate leaders, Nobel Prize winners, along with other prominent science professionals. She was one of three Americans asked to present papers on library science and technology.
Furthermore, she is the recipient of several awards from Who's Who Worldwide. She was chosen to be featured in Pro-Files Magazine in 2011, was profiled in the "Top 101 Industry Experts" book and distinguished as a Professional of the Year in Fundraising Consultancy.
Ms. Pastine has worked as a library administrator and fundraiser. She has also served as an active member of various library commissions. In these roles, she developed an expertise in library administration. Her responsibilities include fundraising, writing grants for the Yavapai-Apache Nation, and handling government and state grants, including those pertaining to housing and agriculture. She also networks with the Departments of Justice and Education. She became involved in the profession because of her keen interest in fundraising.
Ms. Pastine earned a Master of Library and Information Science from Emporia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Fort Hays State University. She completed training in museum security and is a member of the American Library Association. She is a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Mu, and has been a fundraiser for local charitable organizations. She notes that her active involvement with professional associations has facilitated her continued success, and she intends to continue volunteering her time by fundraising for local libraries.
Her hobbies include reading, fundraising and participating in classic car shows.
