FARMINGDALE, NY, January 07, 2010
/24-7PressRelease/ -- MaxiAids Products for Independent Living (www.MaxiAids.com) is proud to support the New York Deaf-Blind Collaborative (NYDBC) with a 24-Hour Web-A-Thon. MaxiAids has committed to donate to the NYDBC a portion of the proceeds of web purchases made all day long (from 12:00am to 11:59pm) on Thursday, January 7, 2010.
This is a great opportunity for MaxiAids and its customers to team up and contribute to a worthy cause. The goal of the New York Deaf-Blind Collaborative (NYDBC), which is housed at Queens College in Flushing, NY, is to improve the quality of life of deaf-blind children and youth throughout New York State.
They do this by:
· Providing information and referrals to families and professionals who have and serve children who are deaf-blind.
· Conducting training and providing support for families through activities such as parent leadership training, parent to parent support training, and topical conference calls.
· Providing onsite and distance training, consultation, and child specific assistance to improve and develop educational programs for children and youth who are deaf-blind.
Now, we have a chance to give back to this organization that has given so much to so many people. So, shop at http://www.MaxiAids.com all day Thursday, January 7, 2010. And remember that with each purchase you make, you are also helping the New York Deaf-Blind Collaborative continue to serve the community.
