    NEW ORLEANS, LA, January 13, 2008 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Maya Denise Wyche Poree, Program Officer for the National AIDS Fund, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of non-profit management.

With seven years of professional experience, Mrs. Poree has been and/or is currently responsible for survey design, writing grant proposals, budget development and planning, implementing and analyzing programs and overall programmatic management. As program officer, she is also responsible for monitoring local, statewide and multi-state HIV prevention, care and/or policy advocacy initiatives, across the Southern region of the U.S. Prior to attaining her current position at the National AIDS Fund, she served as deputy director, quality assurance advisor, HIV prevention coordinator, statewide perinatal HIV prevention coordinator and HIV prevention community planning group coordinator, ranging from the local community based to the state government level. She attributes her success to her hard work and determination.

Mrs. Poree received her Master of Public Health degree from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2002 and 1999, respectively.
