MBNA Launches Improved Online Banking Service

MBNA Ireland, the credit card provider, has launched a new section of its website, offering easier navigation and improved services.



    MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, January 22, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Credit card provider, MBNA Ireland, has revamped its online card management area, offering easier navigation and improved services.

The new facility is called Online Card Services and features new and improved account management options. The new-look section of the website has been developed with the help of feedback from customers and includes a new step-by-step guide on how to get the most from online card services. As well as improved services, MBNA Ireland, which is owned by the Bank of America, has also worked hard to make card information clearer and on-site content more concise.

Speaking about the improvements to Online Card Services, Customer Service and Channel Fulfillment executive for Bank of America Europe Card Services, Ian Craig, said: "We are committed to making our products and service options simpler to use and the re-launch of our new online banking portal, Online Card Services, is key to that."

Mr Craig added: "Our customers' thoughts and ideas have inspired this change and, with their input, we will continue to find ways to bring ease and greater clarity to our services."

As well as improving what's available to credit card-holders, MBNA Ireland has also made it easier to navigate the site and get to the various services on offer. Improvements to the navigation of the site and an enhanced help and support section are two of the major changes that visitors to the site will notice. In addition, online tutorials and a list of FAQs have been developed to help customers get the most from their online accounts.

By improving online account management and renaming it Online Card Services, MBNA Ireland has been able to keep all of the elements that made the service popular, while adding more convenience and value for card-holders. Customers will be still be able to use www.MBNA.ie to check recent transactions, balances and credit limits as well as set up Direct Debits, transfer balances and make payments. In addition, viewing statements, ordering and activating credit cards and all PIN-related actions are available through the website.

The new Online Card Services section of the MBNA Ireland website is further confirmation of the card-provider's commitment to responsible and transparent lending. Card-holders can now take greater control of their credit card account and manage their related finances in an easier and more convenient way. Combine this with the new Mobile Banking Text Service and it's clear MBNA Ireland customers have a lot to be cheerful about.
