Sixteen of McDonough's 46 partners—nearly 35 percent—are female. McDonough's numbers significantly exceeded the national average of 19 percent, and the firm was one of only five whose concentration of female partners topped 30 percent.
The survey, conducted in September and October 2009, ranks law firms with 100 or more lawyers and select boutique firms in the U.S. on the total number of female partners working for the firm. Only those firms reporting their numbers directly to Law360 were included in the list.
