McKool Smith Attorneys Featured in 21st Annual Intellectual Assets and Technology Law Institute

    /24-7PressRelease/ - DALLAS, TX, October 08, 2006 - Attorneys from Dallas' McKool Smith, P.C., are playing key roles in the 21st Annual Intellectual Assets and Technology Law Institute, the popular continuing legal education program taking place October 5 & 6, 2006, at the Marriott Dallas Las Colinas Hotel in Irving, Texas.

McKool Smith is a sponsor of the Institute, and three of the firm's lawyers are leading discussions on a variety of important topics concerning intellectual property and technology law.

Firm principal Thomas L. Crisman is the moderator of the program, which focuses on data and security interests in IP issues; patent law policy, politics and litigation; updates on trademarks, licensing and copyright law; ethical considerations of investing in Internet communications; legal hotspots in e-commerce; and protecting domain names.

Mike McKool Jr., a principal and founder of McKool Smith, delivered the luncheon presentation on Thursday, Oct. 5, concerning the ethical implications of attorney Internet blogs and other communications on the World Wide Web. Mr. McKool is trial counsel for some of the world's largest corporations, including airlines, energy companies, telecommunications firms and investment banking houses.

The Friday luncheon presentation from Lewis T.
