/24-7PressRelease/ - PANAMA CITY, FL, August 17, 2006 - Officials of SPOTBUY.TV, the premier television e-commerce marketplace, announced today the expansion of services to network television for both broadcast and cable inventory.

"Network sales executives have dismissed proposals to automated and auction their inventory," says Mike Harding, Managing Member of MMI Advertising, LLC. "Unlike an auction, SPOTBUY.TV is buyer and seller friendly, systemizing current manual transactions while preserving the traditional negotiation processes."

The initial SPOTBUY.TV service focused on spot television deals in the local 210 television markets. The expansion into network advertising is just one of the several follow-on additions planned, according to Harding.

SPOTBUY.TV reaches beyond traditional spot time of ten, fifteen, and thirty-second ads to also include direct response, paid programming, webcasting, product placement, and podcasting advertising availabilities.

SPOTBUY.TV is compatible with the eBiz, XML and Ad-ID standards established by Television Bureau of Advertising and the American Association of Advertising Agencies, eliminating multiple entries of the same information.

"As broadcasters ourselves, we share the concern that an auction environment for television inventory will diminish control over inventory and pricing," says Harding. "We have specifically designed our e-commerce service to incorporate best practices of today's selling environment while, at the same time, reducing the cost of sales overhead."

Harding predicts the new high-tech media marketplace will save the television industry millions of dollars in sales costs. "Our goal is to reduce the time and cost of doing the deal, not the price of the inventory itself," says Harding. "Stations are always in control of the inventory and rates they post and negotiate; buyers are always in control of the budgets they submit and orders they accept. SPOTBUY.TV is a win-win scenario."
